Congratulations Erin and Mark
Abington Town Offices - 500 Richard Francis Gliniewicz Way - Abington, MA 02351
Welcome to the unofficial site of Our Town - Abington, Massachusetts.

Abington was established from part of the town of Bridgewater by
order of the General Court of the Province of Massachusetts Bay in
1712.  The towns of Rockland and Whitman (South Abington) were
split off from Abington in 1874 and 1875 respectively per order of the
General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  The town is
in Plymouth County.

Our town hall is 19 miles south, south east of Boston City Hall.
It is a quick 25 minute commuter rail ride to Boston.

Abington has a Town Meeting form of government with a strong town
manager position as established by our new town charter approved
by the General Court of the Commonwealth on August 9, 2004.

This site contains in excess of 100 web pages of information and
links relating to the town of Abington.  Included are the Town Charter,
By-Laws, sections of the 2004 - 2006 Annual Reports, departments,
commissions, committees and boards of the town and their
members.  There is a link to the official town web site currently under
construction.
